HELP KEEP YOU AND US SAFE

CORONOVIRUS CONTINGENCY PLANS

Following the recent outbreak of the Coronavirus in the UK, we have put extensive measures in place to protect our members and staff, and to enable the facility to stay open.

HANDWASHING ON ENTRY

When arriving for a training session we kindly ask that you wash your hands thoroughly with soapy water before starting your workout. We have washing facilities available in each changing room.

Please note that we will NOT be providing hand sanitiser as an alternative as it has been proven to be ineffective to kill the Coronavirus and breeds complacency that hands are clean.

DISINFECTING EQUIPMENT

We also ask that you use the disinfectant spray and blue hand towel to clean any equipment before and after use. This includes studio equipment and spin bikes.

CLASSES

Classes will continue as normal as due to the extensive size of our gym and studio spaces, minimal close contact amongst members whilst in our gym is thankfully limited compared to other facilities in the local area.

NO PARTNER WORK

Exercises that require you to directly face your partner within a 1-metre face to face proximity will not be included in classes or PT. Although we know that Covid-19 is not transmitted via sweat, items such as boxing gloves will continue to be disinfectant sprayed internally after each use.

HANDWASHING ON EXIT

At the end of each session, please wash your hands fully prior to exit, so that you do not transmit anything home.

EXTRA CLEANING MEASURES

Our staff members will also take these measures prior to, and after each session. In addition to our daily cleaning schedule, staff will be disinfecting door handles, the water machine buttons, and sink taps on an hourly basis.

VIRTUAL CLASSES OPTION.

In order to keep the business functioning, staff/instructors employed, and members receiving a service during this unprecedented time; we are in the process of setting up virtual sessions for those who are self-isolating or would rather not attend due to being in an at-risk group. Please bear with us for a few days whilst we get this organised through our software system. This will allow you to select your desired workout and continue to achieve your fitness goals. Further details to follow on the Community Members Facebook page.

IF YOU FEEL UNWELL

Sweat has not been evidenced as a route of transmission, however, if you are feeling unwell or have a cough (one of the main routes of transmission) we would ask that you reschedule your training session until you are 48 hours clear of symptoms. As per Public Health England’s Advice, if you have a raised temperature above 37.8 degrees, sore throat, and or persistent and frequent cough then please self-isolate and seek advice from 111 online for advice on what to do next. If you would like further information, please follow the important advice from the NHS website. www.nhs.uk/coronavirus

BASIC HYGIENE PRECAUTIONS

Finally, taking basic hygiene precautions remains the best way to reduce the chances of spreading any virus: sneeze or cough into a tissue, bin it, wash your hands frequently and don’t touch your face unless you’ve just washed your hands.

REQUESTS TO FREEZE.

We have had several requests to freeze memberships. Unfortunately, it is not possible to freeze your membership unless you have a doctor’s certificate. If everyone were to freeze/cancel their membership then it would make this extremely difficult if not impossible for us to sustain the business. If you do wish to cancel then that is of course up to you, however under the terms of your membership, a full months cancellation period is due, therefore your April payment would still be owed and allow you access to the gym until the end of April. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause; however I am sure you can appreciate that in these unprecedented times we need to ensure we have a business to continue and have our staff, instructors and PT’s to be able to pay their bills.

Finally, we appreciate your understanding and support to keep On The Limit a safe place to train and with a collective effort then this can be achieved.

Many. many thanks for your continued support.

Adam, Kathryn & The Whole Team at OTL.
